WHY'S IT CALLED THE PIÑA... BUSH?
BECAUSE IT MAKES ME LAUGH. AND IT'S MY BUSINESS. SO I CAN DO THAT. A QUICK HISTORY:
I originally created the Piña Bush as a way to keep in touch with students in my courses.
When students graduated, I called them “ripe piñas, ready to be plucked from the piña bush.“
As in they were prepared for whatever marketing job they wanted. (And they were. Most of them got one or started their own thing before they even finished the course.)
As the group grew to include more than 100 course graduates and their own community of unconventional hustlers, we realized that there was a gap to fill.
People needed accountability, support, direction, opportunities to grow while they were forging their own career paths.
So we started intentionally creating resources, expanded the network, and eventually it evolved into what you see now. A digital marketing hub for unconventionals. And we wouldn’t have it any other way.
